Course Dates and Venues - An Introduction to the Town of Beaulieu

Beaulieu, a small town in the area known as the “Limousin Riviera” - in the region of Limoges and because of its palms and banana trees - is situated on the banks of the river Dordogne. This medieval town, classed as a Clunisian Site, is endowed with a rich cultural heritage.  The Romanesque Abbey and its famous tympanum (1135) are classed as Historic Monuments. The chapel of The Penitents, the narrow alleys and the half timbered houses, the wooden river barges.

You will discover these treasures and more during the guided tour of the town that is included in the course.

 

Beaulieu is a wonderful place where you can enjoy nature, sport, water sports and country walks.

 

Beaulieu has a large choice of shops to cater for the needs of residents and visitors.
